Born out of the lockdown in 2020 LBSCo is the creation of Simon Baker who has had a life long passion for all things fish.
From those first sea fishing trips with his Dad when he was 10 to becoming fishmonger trained in his late teens; from discovering the sensational results of home smoking various fish to passing his accreditation as a Recognised Fishmonger with the Master Fishmongers Standard - Simon now owns and runs his business with his biggest passion - FISH.
It all started when he was 14 years old and after finishing his paper round on a Saturday, used to sit and watch the local fishmongers shop in north-west London set up for the day.
After managing to get a week's work experience from school at the fishmongers ( they paid him £25...) and subsequently offered Simon a Saturday/holiday job which he continued for 5 years.
Simon says "One of the most exciting things about running this business is that from one day to the next you never know what is going to be landed and therefore you are treated to a wide range of really fresh fish and shellfish which you can try for the first time or re-discover your favourite."
